Kateri Klingele Pinell, MSW, APSW, LMSW, ASAT-Candidate, received her Master’s in Social Work
from the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She is licensed as an Advanced Practice Social Worker
in Wisconsin, Georgia, and Florida, and is currently working toward her Licensed Clinical Social
Worker (LCSW) designation under the supervision of Mandy B. Mullen, LCSW.
Kateri has over nine years of experience in community-based social work, including work in legal
settings, primary care behavioral health, psychosocial support services, and clinical mental health.
Her clinical areas of focus include anxiety, depression, trauma, attachment, sexual addiction,
and relational concerns. She has experience working across the lifespan and has specialized experience
supporting individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
Kateri provides couples therapy and has completed Level Two training in the Gottman Method. She views
therapy through the lens of Thomistic Psychology, which emphasizes virtue ethics and the formation
of the human person.
Her therapeutic approach is integrative and includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), Cognitive Behavioral
Therapy (CBT), and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Kateri’s work is collaborative, compassionate,
and grounded in the belief that all individuals possess inherent dignity and worth.
