Jacqueline Niks, APC
Jacqueline (Jaci) Niks received her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Divine Mercy University. She is working towards licensure as a Professional Counselor under the supervision of Carrie Milhous, LPC. Prior to embarking on a career in counseling, Jaci received her Bachelor’s in Choral Music Education from the Florida State University School of Music. She has extensive experience teaching, coaching and mentoring children of all ages, including students with special needs, from her twenty-two years in education. She has worked with immigrant populations both in the USA and abroad. She has completed trainings for treating Compassion Fatigue and Field Traumatology, as well as for treating victims of sexual abuse and complex trauma, including human trafficking. She is working towards her certification in Traumatology through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology.
Jaci's counseling education program was completed at Mosaic Psychological Services. She was trained to treat a wide variety of mental health disorders, including anxiety, depression, PTSD, addictions, and personality disorders, in children, adolescents, and adults. She has developed an integrated, individualized approach to clients that incorporates aspects of CBT, IFS, Gestalt, psychodynamic, and Humanistic modalities.
Jaci has been involved with youth ministry for over eight years. She also coaches young women as the Director of Volleyball for Fundamental Sports Academy. She enjoys performing and sings occasionally at local church and theater events. Her greatest joy is being the mom of two amazing humans.
